Ogden Legion Pipe Band

Southern Alberta’s premier youth pipe band.

The OLPB was formed in 1972 to provide a focused activity for teenagers. It is sponsored by the Royal Canadian Legion, Ogden Branch #154 in Southeast Calgary, Canada.

Many of the instructors are previous band members and provide top level instruction and act as positive role models. Participation in the band gives the children and teenagers many exciting, unique, positive and rewarding experiences. In addition to the exceptional instructors, the band has a supportive parent association and a dedicated group of executives.

Some of the band’s recent accomplishments include:

  • Winner of the 2013 North American Pipe Band Championships – Grade 4.
  • Alberta provincial champions for the past eight years at a Grade 4 level.
  • In 2011 at the World Pipe Band Championship in Glasgow, Scotland the band competed against 52 of the worlds best Grade 4b bands to place a remarkable fifth overall.
